About IanIan is Managing Practice Director of McLaughlins Lawyers, a firm which has been providing legal services from the Gold Coast since 1958, the last 29 years from Southport and Bundall. Ian was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in New Zealand in 1987, later practiced and was admitted in England and Wales before returning to practice in New Zealand. Ian has been with McLaughlins since 2001, is married with two children, and has lived with his family in the Ecovillage at Currumbin since its inception in 2006. Ian chairs the Southport Community Consultative Committee quarterly meetings and has a passion for the growth of Southport as the CBD. Ian is also President of the Friends of the Arts a charitable company focused on encouraging and supporting the Arts on the Gold Coast and which also operates a Gift Fund which provides financial support for exceptional Gold Coast young performers. |
