CBD Sundown comes to Southport!

Immerse yourself at Regent Lane this Spring at the City’s first CBD Sundown event on Friday, 24 September 6pm – 9pm. Entry is free.

The CBD Sundown is about laying claim to our CBD streets, land lots, and alleyways through fun, music and live art.

This new event concept will see activations in Southport CBD’s live music venues and forgotten spaces. The program will appeal to the broader local with a goal to revitalise live music, draw new audiences to the CBD, increasing culture, public awareness and safety in the area, and making Southport a preferred night-time destination. It will be supported long-term by the changes occurring to the PDA which support live music in the CBD.

CBD Sundown is an ongoing program that will see increased activations in the CBD the last Friday of each month. Including some of the following:

• This is Art and their ‘Memory Lane’ series featuring live painting, DJ mixing nostalgic disco tunes and vintage arcade games.

• Pinot and Picasso will host a free paint and sip workshop under the stars

• Mr P.P.’s, Southport’s iconic rooftop bar, will be on location mixing up your favourite beverages at their pop-up Airstream bar.

• Chris Nimri performer extraordinaire in his own right will host the evening alongside Natasha St James, the Coast’s favourite Drag Queen.

• The talented Anthony Pieters will be showcasing his unique ability to combine art, music and dance

• Roving roller girls, busking and plenty of surprises are in store for curious event goers.
