Study Gold Coast has launched a brand new platform designed to connect Gold Coast students and graduates to employment opportunities:
Gold Coast Student Jobs.

This online portal provides a platform for students and graduates to connect with businesses and industry for employment opportunities, work experience placements and internships. This initiative is set to be a game changer for student employability and employers wanting to source potential job candidates leading to better employment outcomes for all.

Launch

The official launch date was 5 November 2020 and is supported by a multi-layered marketing campaign to promote the site to students and industry.

Why have we built this new site?

Students and graduates, whether they be local or international, are ultimately looking for opportunities. They want a chance to earn while they learn so that can sustain their living costs. They want work experience in their chosen field, access to apprenticeships and traineeships, and they want to gain skills that will lead them to their dream career. Every day at Study Gold Coast, the peak body for education and training on the Gold Coast, they hear from students seeking opportunities.

At the same time, Study Gold Coast regularly hears from businesses and industry leaders seeking student talent and willing to open their doors and nurture our young people.

Study Gold Coast has been facilitating these connections through their Talent for Business Growth program. Due to increasing demand, they have seized the opportunity to deliver a technical solution to scale and fast-track the outcomes of student and industry connections. Importantly, user analytics will provide them with rich insights regarding the supply and demand for jobs on the Gold Coast by industry, enabling them to further enhance the work they do.

How does it work?

Opportunities are aggregated from existing job sites and filtered based on key words, and employers can also list new opportunities for free. Students can search for jobs and upload their CV for employers to peruse and search for talent. Students apply for opportunities by connecting directly with the employer. Think of it like Seek, but Gold Coast specific and focused on students and graduates.

Study Gold Coast reviews, filters and categorises every opportunity to ensure the content is relevant and the platform delivers an exceptional user experience. Employers who require support to prepare to take on an intern or work experience student can access a Workforce Planning Consultant for free. The site also features useful resources for employers and job seekers, as well as employer profiles, feature articles and the latest data on trending industries.

Call to action

Study Gold Coast wants as many students, graduates and employers to engage with the Gold Coast Student Jobs site as possible to ensure its success, so please explore the platform and share it with your network. To help you spread the word here is a link to social media tiles to publish through your channels.
