The Broadwater Parklands remains open with visitors encouraged to take recommended health and social distancing precautions while exercising. The rockpools, bouncy pillows, BBQ’s, outdoor gym equipment and aquapark are closed. The Fish Shak and Café Rockpool are open for take away only.
Novel coronavirus (COVID-19) impacts on the Broadwater Parklands
The Broadwater Parklands remains open with visitors encouraged to take recommended health and social distancing precautions while exercising. The rockpools, bouncy pillows, BBQ’s, outdoor gym equipment and aquapark are closed.
NOTE The Fish Shak and Café Rockpool are open for take away only.
The below information provides further updates on the Broadwater Parklands status during this time.
Playground equipment, BBQs and outdoor gym equipment: Remain closed until further notice.
Park bookings: The City will not take park bookings for at least two months.
Water fountains/bubblers: Based on advice from Queensland Health, these will remain turned on; however users should practice appropriate hygiene. The City will increase cleaning frequency.
Soap dispensers: are being procured for some of the City’s public amenities in our most popular parks.
Events: The Broadwater Parklands monthly Calendar of Events is on hold until further notice. All events and activations have been cancelled for coming months.
Complaints: about non–compliance with current social distancing regulations as well as the use of playgrounds, skate parks, BBQs and fitness equipment should be referred to Police link hotline 131 444.
