To all members and businesses in Southport

For a limited time, the Southport Chamber are currently offering a year free membership. We encourage all businesses to sign up, and if you have already, encourage your neighbouring businesses and all businesses in your network to sign up for free membership of the Southport Chamber for a year.

The more members we have, the better able we are to support you. Your association with the Southport Chamber of Commerce enables our voice to be heard on behalf of business generally at all levels of government.

If you are wanting to upgrade to a Gold Membership or Corporate Membership, the discount code will take $150 off if you sign up or upgrade before 30 July 2020.

New Beginnings

The Southport Chamber recently met with the Committee for Southport, who will be supporting the Chamber and encouraging its members to join. This will give a greater depth to the businesses the Chamber represents.

In addition, we are working with retailers to establish workshops for traders as they navigate their issues trading in the current climate.

We will continue to work with Council and the State Government to grow a CBD for a new era in business. Southport is a CBD unconstrained by traditional concepts of what makes a CBD - we have an opportunity to create a CBD of the future starting now. From adversity and challenge, businesses are forced to rethink the future of business and therefore of what it means to be a Central Business District.

What Next

The Chamber will diversify its support to various committees and groups that will communicate their needs and ideas to the Chamber to act on.

This will include Property Owners, Traders, Community Charities and Support Groups as well as other industry specific groups.

Most importantly, we are establishing a Vision Committee to draw on the talent and resources available to us to create a real vision for the CBD we need now and for the future.
