Southport Parking: What You Need to Know
If you live, work, or visit Southport regularly, it’s important to stay across the current parking rules and permit options. Here's a quick summary of key information about the Southport Traffic Area and parking regulations:
⏰ Southport Traffic Area – Timed Parking Rules
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM: 2-hour (2P) parking limit
- Weekends and public holidays: No time limits apply unless signage says otherwise
- Important: If a parking sign does not specify days, the restriction applies every day including public holidays
Once you've parked for the time limit, you must leave the entire traffic area—simply moving to another spot within the same area will not reset your time limit and may result in a fine.
You are responsible for checking signage and knowing whether you're in a signed or unsigned section of the Traffic Area. Use the Southport Traffic Area map to guide you.
