The Southport Community Consultative Committee
The Southport Chamber of Commerce now administer and continue to Chair the meetings and they will now be held at the Boardroom at Gold Coast Business Hub, Scarborough Street, Southport also being the location of the Chambers office.
The Southport Community Consultative Committee is an informal committee of the Southport Chamber of Commerce which has run for many years in Southport with Brian Sohier as administrator and Ian Kennedy as Chair.
It is a quarterly forum for key Southport stakeholders to meet and discuss matters.
Its mission is to facilitate communication between the attendees about issues relevant to Southport and then, if acceptable to communicate the results of the discussions down through the attendees’ respective organisations.
Some of the key stakeholders who usually attend, or send representatives, include Southport Police, City of Gold Coast CBD Office, Local Councillor, State Members of Parliament, Health and Education representatives and general business representatives.
Brian Sohier is stepping aside form his work with the Committee and the Southport Chamber of Commerce thank Brian Sohier for his assistance over many years.
